July 7, 2008 on 4:43 pm | In Food Safety Ideas, Health & Nutrition | 6 CommentsEnameled Cast Iron is causing a “STIR” with consumers that are serious about their health!
Lima, OH – Range Kleen offers cookware that health advocate, author and physician Dr. Joseph Mercola believes is the most healthful way to prepare food. Dr. Mercola has studied the health issues of different alloys that are used to manufacture cookware. In his opinion, Enameled Cast Iron is the healthiest way to cook. He states that there are “potential toxins found in Teflon, aluminum, and copper “. The Enameled Cast Iron cookware by Range Kleen has been a TOP PICK on the Mercola.com website. Cast Iron has been used for centuries in cooking. There are MANY reasons to use enameled cast iron!
- EASY CARE AND CLEANING
- DURABLE, LASTS A LIFETIME
- COOKS FOOD EVENLY (perfect for all types of cooking and all range tops) …
- OVEN to TABLE. The cast iron retains heat – keeping foods warm on the table.
- SEALS in FLAVORS. The enameled coating seals the cast iron cooking surface and liquid stays in your food. Liquid does not evaporate into the cookware. Moisture adds a wonderfully tender and flavorful effect in cooking.
- PERFECT for all TYPES of COOKING. Baking, browning, stewing and roasting, searing and blackening. Cast iron cooks well on low heat yet can reach high temperatures for blackening.
- INDOOR / OUTDOOR and ANY RANGE TOP. Enameled cast iron has a smooth bottom and can be used on glass top ranges as well as gas, electric, induction – any range top!
- HEALTHY COOKING. Food does not react or interact with enameled coated cast iron. Moisture and nutrients remain in your foods.
- ENERGY EFFICIENT. Cast iron retains its heat. Medium to low temperatures can be used. Heat will remain in the pan.

Range Kleen’s Enameled Cast Iron Cookware is manufactured in China. There are no retailers in the Massachusetts area, however you can order via our website. Thank you for your inquiry We Really Care!

I have a set of the enameled cast iron cookware and really like it, even though I can barely lift the large pot when it’s full! The first time I put the roaster in the oven, the lid handle bubbled up (I removed it from the oven when I started to smell burnt plastic). Why would you manufacture a cast iron roaster with a lid handle that can’t be used in the oven? Can it tolerate up to a certain heat, or should it not be used in the oven at all?
Thanks, and happy holidays!

I purchased a Berndes (Range Kleen) cast Iron dutch oven at Ross. My question is is the enamel lining safe to cook in because it’s manufactured in China. Can you tell me what is used in the process of enameling the pot? I really want to use the pan, but I’m concerned. Thank you for your help in this matter
