I purchased a Berndes (Range Kleen) cast Iron dutch oven at Ross. My question is is the enamel lining safe to cook in because it's manufactured in China. Can you tell me what is used in the process of enameling the pot? I really want to use the pan, but I'm concerned. Thank you for your help in this matter

I have a set of the enameled cast iron cookware and really like it, even though I can barely lift the large pot when it's full! The first time I put the roaster in the oven, the lid handle bubbled up (I removed it from the oven when I started to smell burnt plastic). Why would you manufacture a cast iron roaster with a lid handle that can't be used in the oven? Can it tolerate up to a certain heat, or should it not be used in the oven at all?

Thanks, and happy holidays!

Range Kleen's Enameled Cast Iron Cookware is manufactured in China. There are no retailers in the Massachusetts area, however you can order via our website. Thank you for your inquiry We Really Care!
