Celebrate Chinese Culture with a Feng Shui Kitchen
August 14, 2008 on 3:26 pm | In Kitchen Make-Over Ideas, Space-Saving Ideas | 1 CommentIn the spirit of the Olympics, I thought I might break out a little Chinese Philosophy. Feng Shui is the concept of organizing your habitat to provide positive energy in your life. Wow! that was pretty deep right there. I think the biggest thing in this philosophy is the organization of your furniture and removing clutter. By doing this you feel better about yourself and your dwelling.
The kitchen is the heart of your home and whether you realize it or not you probably spend a lot of time in there. Cooking, cleaning, and eating take up much of our home lives and a cluttered kitchen can be a pain to live with. One of the biggest complaints I hear is big heavy pots in cupboards in front of whatever it is you need. Then you have to lift that down out of the way to reach. You could put it down in a drawer well out of the way, or you could hang it up with a pot rack in your kitchen for easy access and as a conversation piece. Not only will it look nice and be right there when you need it, but it will free up your other storage areas and create a less messy kitchen.
So while Phelps is out there winning all these gold medals for America, lets celebrate some Chinese culture, and improve our lives with some ancient philosophy. All the while making our homes look and feel great.

I am just a little old lady in a tiny apartment and i love the space that the wall mounting pot rack created for me. I purchased the red one and it is just so lovely and especially how well it incorporates with my apple decore. I like to try new things and it really made me feel better about my clutter of pots.
