Back To School. With this being every parent’s favorite time of year and every kids most dreaded- one way to kick start  lil’ Johnnie and Sally’s brains is to get them busy in the kitchen. Have them take those old tried and true recipes for a spin. Nothing tests last years fraction assignments like doubling or splitting a recipes measurements !  Don’t forget to lay out a scratch pad and remember to hide the calculator.

By letting the kiddies in the kitchen, they almost forget that they are using math skills and some have been known to have fun doing it ! After a while, you may even try to throw in some nutritional tips along the way, but don’t get greedy….

You can find some starter recipes on Range Kleen’s web site , under the recipe tab

  1. Great idea! I’ll have to try this with my kids, they already like to help me in the kitchen might as well make it educational as well.
