Grab Your Breakfast and Go!

Mom was right all along. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Why, you ask? You just spent eight hours with no food or water, when you are asleep. By the time you wake up, you’re dehydrated, your blood sugar is low and you have little energy to get your day started on the right foot. More so than at any other point in the day, you need nourishment in the morning.
An added benefit – breakfast can actually help you lose weight. Those who skip the morning meal tend to snack before lunch and throughout the day, usually on unhealthy, high-calorie foods. Breakfast eaters typically cruise until lunch with energy to spare.

What are some healthy and quick ideas?
• Incorporate complex carbohydrates, such as whole wheat toast and bagels. Spread peanut butter and raisins on top for added flavor.
• Layer a whole grain toaster waffle with low-fat yogurt and fresh or frozen blueberries.
• Whip up some scrambled eggs with the Range Kleen Silicone Whisk. Range Kleen’s Whisks are made with high quality Silicone, have a sturdy grip handle, are heat resistant to 446 degrees Fahrenheit and come in exciting colors. Roll in a tortilla with cheese, and you’re on your way.

• Don’t forget cold cereal. Not those covered with sugar, but the healthy variety. Items such as Wheaties and Cheerios are always good choices.
• Make a shake or a smoothie. Blend fruit and yogurt and then drink it in the car. Keep it cold in one of Range Kleen’s Beverage Bottles.
• A side option is a small bag of finger foods, such as a mixture of granola and grapes.

• Fantastic Fruit Salad – Using the Go Go Fruit, serve a chopped fruit salad with a yogurt dip. Mini muffins are delicious dipped in yogurt too.
