Cool off your heating bill.

As the weather is starting to turn cooler at night you may be thinking it is time to turn that thermostat up.  Before you do that you may want to have your furnace or heat source cleaned and serviced.  Clean, well maintained equipment will run more efficiently.

You may also want to think about not turning that thermostat up quite as high as you normally would – see about challenging yourself to keeping that thermostat down by wearing warmer clothes, buying a pair of slippers or those warm fuzzy socks.  You may be amazed that by dropping down a few degrees you will actually save yourself some money.

You may also want to check all windows and doors to make sure that they seal properly and do not allow any drafts.  You can check with your local hardware store for supplies and products for helping to seal these up.
