CUT COSTS BY GOING ONLINE

Turn on your computer for help saving.

Create a budget. You need to figure out where your money goes on a regular basis so you can live within your income.  Keep track of everything you spend in a given month–from that cup of coffee to your mortgage. You might be surprised at the end of the month to discover what items are big budget-busters.

Pay bills. If you sit down at the computer and tackle the bills on payday, you won’t be able to spend the money on something else. Plus, you’ll save on postage and late fees. Since online payments are usually processed the next business day, you’ll get a more immediate idea of what’s being deducted from your account than if you mailed a check (it’s also quicker than getting a money order). Most companies have online payment options, or use the one your bank offers. Also, most companies will send you reminder e-mails and you can go in that day and schedule the payment for later in the month – you just have to be sure to record that when that day rolls around.

Shop around. One of the greatest things about the Internet is that you literally have thousands of stores at your fingertips. If you find something you like, don’t buy it immediately. Instead, continue to look, you may find it on another site for less.

Save with coupons. To find new deals every day, there are many websites out there that have coupons which are free and can help you save hundreds of dollars.
