There are several methods…. one way you can tell is by the color of its “snood”… Of course, for all those who are not aware, a snood is the flap of skin that hangs over it beak. If the turkey gets offended or is in the “mood for love”, its snood turns bright red.
Actually, as everyone knows, the same can be said for its “caruncle”. It also turns bright red when it is upset or feeling frisky. What is a caruncle ? It’s the bright colored growth on a turkeys throat and neck region, of course.
Other ways to tell if the turkey is upset…….
1) Won’t return your phone calls
2) Flips pages of magazine loudly
3) Pecks at your knees
