What a great way to warm up after being out in the cold. Make yourself a coffee cup full of instant oatmeal – It will not only warm you up on the inside but also on the outside!

Or bake a batch of oatmeal cookies, you can add chocolate chips, raisins, pumpkin, whatever you want. Be creative.

Of course there is oatmeal bread, but have you ever heard of oatmeal soup – I know I hadn’t until I was online searching – sounds like an interesting recipe.

So, have you had your oatmeal today?

  1. I remember my dad used to trick me into eating oatmeal by sneakin’ it in chocolate no-bake cookies. He told me it was “gerbil flakes”. Now, I love it almost every morning (with maple and brown sugar)

  2. Have you ever tried to eat oatmeal raw, like cereal, with milk on it? That’s how I eat it every morning. It is really good with a banana and some walnuts added too. This is about as basic and healthy as you can get. You really know what you are eating — no additives or preservatives.
