I have to say it has been a slow start for me. I really need to see about ramping it up – I can’t wait for the weather to get nice out so that I can get outside and start walking again.
Here are a few ideas for a quick workout that can get you started. Try running in place at your home for 30 seconds, then do bicycle crunches for a minute, repeating this 8 times. So that is a rough estimate of about a 12 min work out every day.
If you don’t want to run in place incorporate the stairs. Most people have stairs whether it’s going to an upstairs, a basement, or even the outside steps into your home – try jogging up and down those several times a day – just be careful that there isn’t anything on the steps that could cause a fall.
Hang in there, you are only one month into the New Year – you still have time to get started, and if you have been doing good then keep it up.
I’ll be sure to check back on how everyone is doing.
