Keeping up on daily chores that you tend to put off can actually save you money, and make you feel better about the environment you create at home. You’re probably wondering how chores, can save you money, well by cleaning household appliances efficiently you save energy being used to run that appliance which results in a lower payment over time.

Everyone has heard about the longer lasting energy saving bulbs, but did you ever think about dusting them? By taking the time to dust everything not just the end tables and the accessories, now include the light bulbs. This increases the lighting in your home by about 50%. While you are at it when vacuuming the floor, use your vacuum attachment and make sure to clear the vents or registers in your home to let your heat or cool air move more efficiently.

Range Kleen offers a Dryer Vent Kleening Kit, which also allows you to use your vacuum attachment to get down deeper into your dryer to prevent lint build up that can be a fire hazard. Also by running full loads of laundry instead of many smaller loads this allows your washer and dryer to perform at its best. Another great way to save energy by doing laundry is to hang as many articles of clothing.

On to the heart of the home; the kitchen, it has been stated that by replacing old drip pans with the Range Kleen Heavy Duty Chrome Plated brand you can save up to $50.00 annually and up to $1000.00 over a course of 20 years. Even by just keeping your drip pans clean and shiny your allowing your kitchen to look sleek and create less cooking time and more efficient use of heat. What happens is the heat from the burner reflects off of the reflective pan and regenerates back to the burner making the element heat up faster, for results of efficient cooking results.

Some people feel that a dishwasher is a waste of space and can be pretty costly, especially to install. Actually having a dishwasher can pay for itself in the long run. If you think about it when washing dishes by hand you are using about 6 gallons of water compared to what a dishwasher would use for its normal washing cycles. Again we recommend running the dishwasher only as needed when it is completely full to prevent wasting water. Also by simply selecting a different temperature to dry your dishes can save energy as well. So instead of using hot air to dry the dishes use the cool option. Like mom always says be sure to scrape your plate. By scraping your plate it makes the dishwasher of the house, person or not; have a little easier job to do.

By knowing a few of these helpful suggestions, it should make you feel more enthusiastic about cleaning and saving money at the same time. So, get the crew together divide up the chores and get cleaning and saving.
