I’m thirsty too!
July 16, 2009 on 9:21 am | In The Heart of Your Home | No CommentsIf it is too hot for you outside, it is too hot for your dog to stay outside. Be sure to provide your favorite pooch with plenty water to keep them hydrated during the summer months. Do not leave them outside for long periods of time as they need access to cooler temperatures.
DO NOT EVER LEAVE YOUR PET IN A CAR! Even on an 80 degree day, the inside of the car can go up to over 100 degrees in a matter of minutes. This can dehydrate your pet, lead to stroke, brain injury or death. Don’t think you can just crack the windows because they can still suffer from heat stroke and have long-lasting effects from being left in the car. This might make a drive across country a little harder if you take your pet with you so stop for fast food or make arrangements for your pet to stay home with a sitter.
