The Many Uses of Baking Soda!
1. Clean up with Baking Soda. Use baking soda to clean your dishwasher and coffee maker by running an empty cycle, clean tubs and sinks with ease also clean toilet bowls by adding a ¼ of baking soda and then scrub away. Baking Soda is great for removing furniture scuffs, crayon, and ink from painted surfaces.
2. Polish your jewelry and your skin. Use baking soda to polish your gold and your silver jewelry creating a paste of water and baking soda. Also use the baking soda paste as exfoliate on your face. If you want a spa effect for the rest of your body pour a ½ cup of baking soda in with your bath water.
3. Great for your teeth and your pets. Use baking soda to brush your own teeth and your pet’s teeth by creating a paste. Soak your toothbrush at night in a cup of ¼ of baking soda and a ¼ of water for a more thorough cleaning.
4. Absorb odors. If you’re having trouble with your refrigerator smelling put an open box of baking soda in there to get rid of the smell, be sure to replace about every two months. If you have purchased a Range Kleen food bottle and you are having left over smells linger in your bottle mix baking soda and water fill up the bottle shake a few times let sit for about 10 minutes and rinse, the odor should be gone. If you have underarm odor pat a little under your arm and go. If you have a cat with a litter box odor, empty box sprinkle baking soda in bottom then add kitty liter on top.
5. Make you own kitty litter by mixing one box of baking soda and at least 3 inches of sandy clay.
6. Put out a grease fire by scattering handfuls of baking soda to put out the flames. Only use baking soda on small fires such as: flammable liquids, oil, gasoline and grease. Clean up grease spill by sprinkling baking soda on top of spill in garage or driveway scrub away with wet brush.
7. Heartburn and Indigestion be gone. Mix a ½ cup of water, and ½ teaspoon of baking soda to create your very own antacid, drink and relieve the pain.
8. Get rid of pesky weeds by sprinkling baking soda in the cracks of your driveway or walkways.
9. Keep bugs out of your pets water bowl by sprinkling a little baking soda around the outside of the bowl. Take care of bug bites, poison ivy and sunburns by applying baking soda and water paste mixture directly to the irritated area.
10. Unclog drains by pouring ½ to 1 cup of baking soda down the drain, and then the same amount of white vinegar, and finally follow with boiling water.
11. Clean hard to get off stains from your Range Kleen Enameled Cast Iron products. Scrub enameled cast iron with a soft nylon scrubby or a natural bristled brush and a thick paste of baking soda and water. We don’t recommend using anything abrasive and if you must use soap use a small amount and do not put directly on to surface make sure it’s soapy water.
12. Clean your Range Kleen Stainless Steel pots and pans by using a soft cloth and dissolve 4 tablespoons of baking soda in a quart of water, then use a clean soft cloth to wipe dry.
