For only 30 minutes each day you can make a difference, especially if you don’t get enough activity in your daily routine. Always remember to keep in mind doing a little bit of something is better than doing nothing to keep your body healthy.
Here are a few tips to get you more motivated:
1. Split the time you exercise in a day. Try working out for 15 minutes in the morning before work, which gets your blood flowing and your body more awake. Take the remaining 15 minutes and exercise after supper or during your lunch hour, whatever is more convenient for you.
2. Get your family involved, to keep your interest and focus in what you’re trying to accomplish and even for a friendly competition.
3. Be spontaneous. If you’re tired of the same work out plan and you don’t know what else to do, take pieces of paper write down different activities that you like to do on each piece, throw the pieces of paper in a bag or old jar or tub, shake it up. Draw pieces out one by one until you complete 30 minutes of exercising.
4. Try not to sit in one spot. If you’re at the office instead of sending an email take a few minutes to walk to that person’s area share what you would have in an email. It makes it more personal plus you are getting a little bit of exercise by walking back and forth.
5. When the weather is nice outside even in the evenings try doing activities outside. Whether it’s gardening, walking around your yard or playing with the family pet.
