Why is voting important to some people and not everyone? Are you a person who believes in freedom in all aspects of life? Well here is your chance to be a positive voice in your community. As a United States citizen there are things you are expected to do, because you have the right to, and one of those is to vote. No it’s not mandatory. In some countries people don’t have the luxury of not doing it because they don’t feel like it, but they cannot because of the type of government that doesn’t allow them to have a voice.
If you are elderly or sick and would like to vote you still have the opportunity too. All you have to do is check your counties absentee ballet opportunities. There’s nothing to it.
There are plenty of ways to find out what issues are being presented on the ballet. For every state the issues are different and it’s not hard to find out what those issues are.
1.) Watch T.V., you can get a pretty good idea what the issues are by the commercials that take place, or just by simply watching the news.
2.) Listen to the Radio. Catch a morning radio show in your area and they are broadcasting what some of the issues are.
3.) Read the Newspaper. Not only are your state’s issues spelled out for you but there are also two sides to every issue. You can have the opportunity to see two sides and decide for yourself what you feel is best.
4.) The Internet. Simply go onto any web page there are millions, for example: yahoo, Google, msn.com, and find a search engine box and type in your question. There it will pull all the issues, articles, arguments from each side and debate all angles.
If you live in Ohio here are the basics of the issues:
1.) The proposed constitutional amendment will allow the state of the Ohio to issue up to $200 million in bonds to pay for bonuses to veterans of recent wars and for the administration of the Veterans Compensation Fund and the Veterans Retirement Fund.
2.) This constitutional amendment would require the state to create the Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board. The Board will set standards for animal care that will encourage food safety, support Ohio agriculture, and protect Ohio farms and families.
3.) This constitutional amendment would allow one casino each in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Toledo. Each initial casino operator would be required to make a $250 million investment and a one time $50 thousand fee for state job training purposes.
