Quality of the new design looks to be just as sturdy as the old one. The big difference is the closure. Instead of the squeeze-to-seal method as found on a freezer bag, the new system is like the closure on a coffee bag...fold over and crimp shut. As long as the bag isn't overfilled, this should work just fine.
I still have one of the old style bags to fill, so after I switch over, I may return to give an update.

It was great when I ran across an article about using small stand up bags for the collection of oils, grease, and I even use it for clearing my candle wax from its container! It sits on my
counter in its attractive color coordinated container and blends in with my kitchen decor.
I like the fact that you don't have to use the outer container because the bags are strong enough to stand alone. You never have to worry about them leaking when they are placed in the trash. They make my daily chores that much lighter so I have time for other things in my busy life! Thank you!!

It makes it so easy when you have grease to pour it into the container and put the lid on it. I might not empty the bag for 6 months, depending on how many times I fry bacon, etc. love it!!

I do not and will not put grease down my drain. The bags are perfect for keeping the grease secured in a leakproof bag until I’m ready to discard in my trash. So glad I can still get them‼️

I find it somewhat hard to close the bag each time after I pour in grease. The material is stiff.
But overall, I am very satisfied with the product. There is no odor and I keep it under my sink where I would definitely notice a bad odor.

I have been using these for years and find them to be exactly what I need to trap and hold the grease from my cooking. The bags keep the grease without allowing it to "escape" until I want to put it out in the garbage, and it keeps the container clean as well as my kitchen neat and odor free.
